Dramatic footage captured the moment a Royal Malaysian Air Force F/A-18D Hornet roared down the runway with flames trailing behind it before its engines exploded at Sultan Ahmad Shah Airport in Kuantan on Thursday night.
The two pilots onboard managed to eject seconds before the aircraft crashed. Police confirmed both were rushed to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital for medical evaluation.

The Royal Malaysian Air Force confirmed the incident occurred at 9:05 PM on August 21, stating that immediate action is being taken and further updates will follow.
Eyewitnesses described the sound of the crash as resembling a missile strike, with the impact heard from over a mile away.
