Kofi Akpaloo, leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), has been released from the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) after meeting bail conditions set at GHC10 million.
His release comes after he was invited by EOCO for questioning over an ongoing financial investigation. While the exact nature of the case remains unclear, sources suggest it involves alleged financial misconduct.
Party representatives say Mr. Akpaloo is cooperating fully with the authorities and remains committed to clearing his name. They have also urged supporters to remain calm as legal proceedings continue.
