Hon. Asenso Boakye Told Us Not to Vote Over Unpaid Allowances – Nurse Alleges During Protest

During a protest in Accra by nurses over months of unpaid salaries and National Service (NSS) allowances, one nurse made a striking revelation about her Member of Parliament, Hon. Francis Asenso Boakye.

According to her, the Bantama MP boldly told her and her colleagues that if their reason for not voting was because of the unpaid NSS allowance, then “they shouldn’t vote at all.”

The statement has sparked backlash online, with many criticizing the dismissive tone amid the ongoing frustrations of unpaid health workers. The nurses are calling on the government for immediate intervention and accountability.
