The Government of Ghana has announced plans to rename Kotoka International Airport as Accra International Airport. Majority Leader of Parliament, Mahama Ayariga, revealed the decision, stating that the move is part of efforts to modernize the airport and reflect the country’s national identity.

This change marks a significant step in the government’s push to update and rebrand Ghana’s flagship aviation hub, ensuring it aligns more closely with the capital city and the nation’s broader development goals.
