Effective August 15, the government has imposed a daily fine of GHC 10,000 on DStv for failing to submit required pricing data. This action follows repeated regulatory requests for transparency in the company’s pricing structure, aimed at ensuring fairness and consumer protection in the pay-TV market.
The penalty underscores the government’s commitment to holding service providers accountable and promoting transparency. DStv has yet to respond publicly to the fine or provide the outstanding data.
