The family of late Ghanaian musician Castro, born Theophilus Tagoe, has been hit by another heartbreaking loss following the death of his mother, Madam Lydia Naa Deide Tagoe.
The sad news was announced by Castro’s brother, McBaby Nana Kwame Martin, in an emotional Facebook post on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Sharing a photo with their late mother, he expressed deep sorrow over the loss, writing:
“I am broken and short of words, but God knows best. I lost my best friend and my angel on earth this morning. Rest on, Mommy, forever in my heart.”
The cause of her sudden passing is yet to be revealed.
Madam Lydia’s death comes four years after her son Castro was officially declared dead, following his mysterious disappearance in 2014. Her passing has sparked an outpouring of grief on social media, with many Ghanaians expressing their condolences and remembering her strength through the family’s years of pain and loss.
