GHANA : Suspect Arrested in GHS800K Gold Heist at Mpohor; Police Use CCTV to Track Down Robbery Gang

Police have arrested one suspect in connection with a daylight robbery at the Okyeso Nyame gold-buying shop in Mpohor, Western Region, which occurred last Saturday. The robbers reportedly fled with an estimated GHS800,000 and 100 pounds of gold.

One person sustained injuries during the attack. CCTV footage captured before the robbery shows the arrested suspect seated in front of the shop, helping investigators identify him.

Police say efforts are ongoing to track down the remaining suspects involved in the heist.
