A fire broke out at the Madrid residence of Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr on Thursday morning, reportedly caused by an electrical fault in the false ceiling of his basement sauna.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. local time in La Moraleja, Alcobendas. According to Spanish outlet Marca, smoke quickly spread to two floors of the property. Fortunately, no one was injured, and there were no reports of smoke poisoning.
Vinicius Jr was not home at the time, as he is currently in South Korea training with the Brazilian national team. Two fire crews responded promptly and brought the situation under control.
The incident adds an unexpected twist to the 23-year-old’s season, but the quick emergency response prevented any major damage or harm.
