Fake Executioners(Abrafour) Arrested for Stealing at Asantehemaa’s Funeral

Two men posing as traditional executioners were arrested at the Manhyia Palace during the funeral of the Asantehemaa. According to reports, the suspects took advantage of the solemn ceremony to steal from mourners who had gathered to pay their respects.

The Asantehemaa’s funeral is a highly significant and sacred event in Ashanti culture, drawing large crowds from across the region. The two men, dressed in traditional executioner attire, blended in with the funeral rites but were later exposed and apprehended by palace security.

Their arrest has sparked public concern about security at cultural events and the disrespect shown by exploiting sacred traditions for personal gain. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
