A heated moment unfolded during the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) hearing when Abena Osei-Asare confronted the DVLA Boss over concerns surrounding the issuance of vehicle number plates and their security features.
In a sharp exchange, the she questioned the DVLA’s accountability, asking, “What are you telling me? People have their names on number plates, and you sit here as the DVLA Boss and tell me you don’t put numbers on number plates?”
Her remarks came as she sought clarification on whether the newly introduced number plates would include enhanced security features to prevent duplication and misuse.
