Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has officially reopened the country’s main stadium in Ouagadougou, marking the end of a four-year renovation project.
The grand reopening took place on Monday, featuring a celebratory friendly match that brought together African football legends such as Samuel Eto’o, Jay-Jay Okocha, and Emmanuel Adebayor.
The event forms part of a broader initiative to revive sports and youth engagement in Burkina Faso, with authorities aiming to boost national pride and develop local talent through improved sports infrastructure.
