Ahead of Akwatia By-Election, Nana Kwame Bediako Calls for Calm, Unity, and Respect for Democracy

As voters in Akwatia head to the polls, Nana Kwame Bediako, leader of The New Force Movement, has taken to Twitter to urge Ghanaians to uphold peace, tolerance, and national unity during the by-election.

Bediako reminded citizens that while elections are a vital part of democracy, they must not become a source of violence, fear, or division. He appealed to all political parties, supporters, and stakeholders to put Ghana first and conduct themselves with dignity.

“No ambition is greater than the peace and stability of our beloved country,” he stated, adding that Ghana’s democracy shines brightest when citizens choose dialogue over conflict and unity over division.

His message comes as a timely reminder of the responsibility all Ghanaians share in safeguarding the nation’s democratic process and preserving peace before, during, and after the polls.
